Badges
View all badgesParticipants at the conference will have the opportunity to learn about:
- the difference that the childhood practice award is having on practice and on the outcomes for children, young people and families in Scotland through sharing examples
- how childhood practice works and is making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people
- the emerging role of childhood practice staff in undertaking research in early years and childcare work.
This is the second of three Open Badges available to people who participated in the event. If you are able to show us evidence of how you applied and shared what you learned in the months following the event, you can apply for the Improving lives: in practice badge as well.
The conference is organised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), in partnership with Education Scotland as a Scottish Learning Festival Extra event.
To earn this badge you will need to tell us:
- what you learned at the conference
- how you plan to put what you learned into practice
- how you plan to share your learning with colleagues.
You should hold the Improving lives: participant badge.
You will need to provide a short written statement, up to 100 words, on how you plan to put what you learned into practice and share your learning with colleagues. You can provide the statement on the badge application form or provide a link to your own blog or ePortfolio.
If you want to use a blog or ePortfolio entry as evidence, you might find our guide to preparing and publishing your evidence useful. Remember, the evidence you provide will be viewable by anyone who you show your badge to.
Please don’t include confidential or private information within your statement.
